After serving in the WV Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer from 1990 to 1997, Troy began his law enforcement career at the Morgantown Police Department in 1996. He served in numerous positions from detective and DEA task force officer to a member of the honor guard and an instructor. He retired in January of 2023 after 26 years of service and worked as an investigator for the Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office before coming to work at WVcorp as a Risk Control Consultant.
