Responsive coverage just when you need it.
Auto coverage protects you from the various costs associated with vehicle accidents. WVcorp includes coverage for hired and non-owned vehicles in addition to any vehicles that you own.
There are several components to address with auto coverage:
- Auto Liability—This pays for the resulting damages to third parties involved when you are responsible for an accident. It includes bodily injury coverage and legal expenses incurred from injuring a third party as well as property damage coverage for the repair costs of vehicles or other property belonging to others.
- Medical Payments—Vehicle accidents damage more than just property. They often cause injuries to the persons involved. That’s why there is coverage included to pay for the medical expenses of injured passengers.
- Physical Damage—This includes both collision loss and comprehensive loss coverage. A collision loss occurs when your vehicle is damaged in a collision with another automobile or object, such as a fence, while a comprehensive loss refers to damage from non-collision causes, such as theft, weather damage, or damage caused by animals.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist—There are times when the at-fault driver in an accident does not have enough or any insurance coverage to pay for the accident costs. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverages protect you if you are hit by a driver without insurance or without adequate limits to cover your related expenses.
In addition, WVcorp includes Garage Liability and Garagekeepers coverage, as well as Out-of-State No-Fault coverage provided at the basic limits required by state and unlimited Physical Damage coverage for all owned vehicles. All of this is provided with no annual aggregate, and vehicles that are purchased or acquired after the start of the fiscal year are automatically covered for the remainder of that coverage year at no additional charge – even if they are not reported to WVcorp.
